Which premises need a Commercial EPC?⌄
A valid Commercial EPC is generally required when an eligible non-domestic building is sold or let, subject to exemptions. Share the premises type and use and we will confirm the correct route.
How much does a Commercial EPC cost?⌄
Commercial EPCs start from £140 for premises up to 40 m², then rise by total floor area — £165 up to 100 m², £185 up to 200 m², and so on to £350 for 2,000–4,000 m². The full table is above. Over 4,000 m² is quoted on enquiry, and the exact price is always confirmed before the assessment.
How long is a Commercial EPC valid for?⌄
A Commercial EPC is usually valid for 10 years, unless a newer certificate is produced after significant changes to the building.
What evidence may be useful?⌄
Building plans and details of the heating, cooling and lighting systems can help the assessment. Safe access to all relevant areas is also needed.
